If we decide you are a candidate for dental implants, we will begin creating your customized treatment plan.
Dental Implant Placement
The first stage of dental implants involves the placement of the implants. This involves a surgical procedure to insert biocompatible posts into the jawbone. The implant posts act as the new roots for the missing teeth, creating a sturdy foundation as the jawbone naturally heals to the posts. Often, you are referred to an oral surgeon to perform the implant placement. However, we are able to perform the placement of the implants right in our office.
After your jawbone has healed, we are even able to perform the procedure needed to place the abutments on the implant posts. The abutments allow your gum tissue to properly heal while also allowing us to anchor the prosthetic crowns to the implants during the restoration process.
Dental Implant Restoration
A couple of weeks after we have placed the abutments, we will then begin the restoration process. The restoration process involves attaching the prosthetic teeth to the dental implants. We will create your custom-made dental crowns to give you a complete smile. We will attach the crowns to the posts via the abutments to securely hold your replacement teeth in place.
Should your custom-made crowns become damaged in the future, we are also able to perform the necessary repairs to restore your new smile.
